Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, shipping address, and payment information necessary to process orders. If you create an account, we also store your researcher/institution details if provided. We additionally collect standard server logs — such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited — for security, fraud-prevention, and operational purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to process and fulfill orders, verify eligibility to purchase research-use products, send order confirmations and shipping notifications, respond to customer inquiries, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant third-party payment processors. Primary BioLabs does not store full credit card numbers, CVV codes, or other sensitive payment credentials on our own servers.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We share information only with service providers who need it to operate the store on our behalf — for example, our e-commerce platform, payment processor, shipping carriers, and email delivery provider. These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us, and are contractually restricted from using it for any other purpose.
5. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies and browser storage to maintain your session, remember cart contents, and record that you have completed the researcher-verification gate. We may use limited analytics tools to understand aggregate site usage and improve the store. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.
6. Data Retention
We retain order, account, and transaction records for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping obligations. You may request deletion of your account data at any time, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted transmission and restricted internal access — to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
This site and its products are intended solely for qualified researchers who are at least 21 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21, and any such information discovered will be deleted.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to opt out of certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@primarybiolabs.com; we will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
